CE Credit

  • MCLE and CPE credits are available.  More information can be found on the CE Credit page.   Session evaluations are required to claim credit.
  • Each session will have a unique code given out at the end of each session during the live broadcast and the unique code is a required field on your evaluation, so write it them all down!
  • There will be a series of polls for attendance verification - it is important to participate in the polling if you desire to claim CPE credit.  A minimum of 3 polling responses are required for CPE credit.
  • Out of state credit requests should reference the credit page. (link page)

Prior to the Event:

  1. Download the Zoom Client.  All sessions are broadcast via Zoom. It is highly recommended that you have the Zoom Client for Meetings application installed on your viewing device prior to the event. If you do not already have it installed, click here to download it. It is also recommended to log in early to avoid delays the day of the event.
  2. Access the Syllabus Materials.
    1. Individual panel materials are available in the EventHub.  A Dropbox link to a large PDF is also in the EventHub.
    2. A link to Dropbox (with all of the Institute's session materials) was also emailed separately.

During the Broadcast:

  1. How do I watch sessions?  Click the tab called EventHub and you will see a red “View Session” button.  All sessions will use the same link, so you will need to use that same button if you get knocked out of Zoom for whatever reason.
  2. Am I in the right spot?  Once "View Session" is clicked, a waiting page will appear with a countdown timer until we open the sessions (approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the day).  Once the first session goes live, you will be taken into the Zoom sessions automatically. If the email address you used to register does not work with Zoom, reply to cle@law.usc.edu with an alternate email address.
  3. Why are there so many polls in Zoom?
  • We are required to deploy a minimum of 3 polls per hour to comply with credit requirements.
  • Polls are required for CPE credit.
  • Polls are optional for MCLE, but strongly encouraged.
  1. Can I get a copy of the PowerPoint presentation?  Most speakers have allowed us to distribute PowerPoint presentations in the syllabus materials.  If you do not see a specific presentation, please feel free to reach out to cle@law.usc.edu and we can ask that speaker to allow us to include it for you.
  2. Can I ask the speaker questions during the presentation?  You can enter questions during each session using the Q&A tab in Zoom.  Moderators will answer questions only if time allows.
  3. What do I do if I can’t hear the speakers?
